A Swedish family home outside Stockholm

This is the lovely home of Emma Johansson, Mikael Hedenborn and their baby son Carl-Philip. Located just outside Stockholm and captured by Amelia Widell, the home is full of flee market finds, items from auction and even furniture from their childhood homes. Emma gets most of her interior inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest, blogs and magazines (a girl after my own heart!). Let's take a look around...

I love the tea cups, tins and glass jars used as plant holders and white linen hung over the bed for a romantic feel.

Is there anything that stands out to you?

I'm having a few technical issues this morning (guh, don't you hate it when the Internet won't play ball?!) and creating this post on my miniscule mobile phone screen from a Danish B&B so I apologise for any errors! It's the final day of my Danish photo shoot today so I'm looking forward to heading back to Sweden tonight to see my little family.

Are you up to anything fun?

Have a lovely day!

An idyllic Danish cottage

I hope you're having a great start to the week? I'm actually in the small fishing village of Gilleleje today for the second day of a photo shoot for my new book - so exciting (more news to follow at a later date)! We've got to leave the hotel shortly but before I go I thought it would be fitting to share an  absolutely idyllic Danish former fisherman's cottage belonging to Dorthe Brocante. The palette of blue, indigo, charcoal and earthy tones is so pretty, don't you think?

Wow! How I'd love a home like this, how about you?

Anyone want to skip work this morning and drink coffee in the garden with me?!

I love, love love the ceramics. I was at a wonderful styling workshop at The Hive hosted by Dietland Wolf  in which she talked about black on black styling using textured ceramics. The detailed shot of the three black vessels in Dorthe's home reminds me of how beautiful it can be to group three items of the same colour but with different surface texture and shapes.

More beautiful cottages here. And Danish homes here.

Got to rush but I'll leave you to dream! Have a lovely day!
